Junior Eccleston will serve a four-match ban after being shown a straight red card against Morecambe.

The defender was sent off after a clash with Chris Popov saw him deemed to have stamped on the Welshman’s leg in the aftermath of a shove on the on-loan Leicester City man.

He will now miss the visits to Scunthorpe United, Gateshead and Eastleigh, as well as the home game against Truro City, with his red card earlier this season against Shrewsbury Town resulting in a slightly extended ban.

In more positive news, Jake Taylor has recovered from the concussion sustained against Yeovil Town and will be available for selection for the trip to Glanford Park.

The midfielder has followed the full concussion protocol which has seen him miss ten days including three games, having gone down in stoppage time at Huish Park.

He went on to warm-up in the build-up to Saturday’s defeat against Morecambe, before returning to full training ahead of tomorrow’s visit to Lincolnshire.

As a result, Aaron Jones (knee), Jack Wadham (knee) and Alex Kirk (back) are the only players left in the treatment room, with Chris Agutter otherwise having a fully fit squad available.
