Jack Sims is back and available for selection ahead of the trip to Truro City (Saturday, 22nd November; 3pm KO), bringing a long-awaited return from a back injury that has kept him out for almost two months.

The 26-year old went down with a back spasm late on ahead of the game against Yeovil Town and had to be replaced during the warm-up, with David Aziaya coming in for his National League debut in a 2-1 defeat to the Glovers in what was the final game before Chris Agutter took charge at Gander Green Lane.

Sims has returned to full training over the last week or so though, and after last weekend’s win over FC Halifax Town came too soon for his return, he is now in contention to appear for the first time under Agutter in Cornwall.

“We’re in pretty good shape and that’s a really positive headache for us as I think Tommy Reid has been getting better and better, but equally Jack Sims is Jack Sims. There’s a positive decision there for us to make.”

Meanwhile, Ashley Nadesan has been added to the treatment room after missing the win over Halifax, having played against Morecambe the week before with a slight niggle, and will be unavailable for the trip to Truro alongside Liam Vincent (ankle), Jack Wadham (knee) and Alex Kirk (back), though the former is only a couple of weeks away from being available.

“Naders is injured which is frustrating but with Osman [Foyo] coming in that helps ease the frustration of Naders being unavailable.”

“Jaiden White has also gone out on loan, there’s a lot of moving parts, but in the main we’re going into the game really happy with the selection headaches that are clearly in front of us.”
