Sutton United Welcomes Visiting Spectators

Sutton United Welcomes Away Supporters

Is this your first visit to Sutton?  It’s our third season in the Football League and we know our ground still needs some work to stand comparison with most of the other stadia in the division but we have been working very hard on it, particularly the visitors' accommodation. However, you will enjoy a warm welcome and find us to be very friendly.

Download our Away Fan guide HERE for all the information you'll need on matchdays.

Where Are We ?

There are a few Suttons in the country and even The FA has been known to mix us up !   We are 13 miles south of London, roughly halfway between the Wimbledon tennis courts and the Epsom Derby. The main entrance is on Gander Green Lane, which is a busy residential road to the west of the ground.  This is the home end of the stadium. The north side adjoins Collingwood Recreation Ground.  A footpath runs through this park to Collingwood Road, which is behind the east end of the stadium, although there are houses in between.  The south boundary of our ground is the railway.

Admission Prices

First team ground admission prices are £21 for adults, £15 for concessions and £7 for juniors. A stand seat is £4 more in each case. Children age 11 and under are admitted free. Tickets must be bought before entering the ground, and away supporters should check with their own club for arrangements in the lead-up to the game. Home supporters can buy tickets on line here . Subject to availability, tickets can be bought on the day by home supporters at the ticket kiosk in the car park, and by away supporters at the ticket office by the away turnstiles 9-12 (card or cash), but note that any tickets bought in person on the day carry a £2 price increase. Tickets bought on line do not carry that increase, even on the day of the game.

Directions

By Car

Travel along the M25 to junction 8. Then north on the A217 for about 15-20 minutes. Stay on the A217 to the traffic lights with the Cheam Road (A232) and turn right toward Sutton.  Do not turn into Gander Green Lane, keep going until you reach the Sutton one-way system and turn left into St Nicholas Way and then left again into the Gibson Road municipal car-park.  It is then a relatively short walk down Collingwood Road to the away end of the stadium

Car Parking

On match days, the club car park in Gander Green Lane is for parking permit holders only. Away fans should park in Gibson Road, the local municipal car-park. It takes no more than fifteen minutes to walk from Gibson Road to the stadium and the route brings you in at the east end of the ground, The Collingwood Road End, which is the area reserved for away supporters.

By Rail

It is recommended that visiting supporters use Sutton station, which is on the main lines out of Victoria and London Bridge and is at the top end of Sutton High Street, about 20 minutes’ walk from the ground.  Two buses between Morden and Sutton stations run conveniently close to our stadium: route 413 bus goes down Gander Green Lane, and number 80 runs along Collingwood Road. The ground can then be reached by taking the path through Collingwood Rec. London Buses are now cashless. Fares are a flat £1.50, and this includes multiple journeys within a one-hour period of the first "touch in" with a contactless payment card or Oyster card.

West Sutton railway station is adjacent to the ground. It is served by Thameslink trains via Wimbledon or Sutton.  Come out of West Sutton station and turn right into Gander Green Lane and the ground is about 100 yards further along.  Away fans should walk past the main entrance and after about 70 yards turn right into Collingwood Recreation Ground. Go all along to the far end for the away turnstiles, and inside the ground is our away fan zone with food and drink available, open at the same time as the turnstiles.

Facilities

All of our league matches will be segregated,  The Collingwood Road (east) end is allocated to away supporters, with newly built covered seated and standing accommodation. We also have a temporary stand with over 100 seats,  The away end has its own fanzone behind the spectator accommodation with a bar, catering facilities and toilets. This opens at 1.30pm.

Differently-Abled Spectators

We currently have spaces for ten wheelchair users (seven home, three away) and we would ask anyone who needs to use this facility to book in advance (contactus@suttonunited.net) If any wheelchair user needs to park at our stadium, please let us know in advance and we will make arrangements to welcome you. We have accessible toilets at both ends of the ground and in the main stand. For ambulant supporters, sorry but if you need to sit there are currently no lifts, you will need to climb a handful of steps.
