Sutton United Football Club are delighted to officially confirm the signing of Brianna Gilbert-Lawal.

The forward made her first team debut last week, having joined from Sport London E Benfica, and after a brief stint in the development side.

Gilbert-Lawal came through the ranks at AFC Wimbledon and notably started for the Dons in the Sue Sharples Trophy final, before rising from the their development team to sign for Queens Park Rangers.

This preceded a move to Ascot United, with a brief stint in Berkshire seeing her feature in a 7-1 romp over former club QPR, before moving to Benfica, and was followed by a switch to Sutton this month.

Life at Gander Green Lane has already proved to be fruitful for Gilbert-Lawal, who notched two goals for the development team in a 5-2 win over Chessington & Hook, before making her maiden first team outing in Tuesday’s 3-0 win over Carshalton Athletic in the Isthmian Cup.
