Sutton United Women will head to Bromley in the League Cup Second Round.
The Ravens triumphed over Eastbourne Borough in the First Round yesterday, with the deadlock being broken by the visitors shortly before the break courtesy of a long-range screamer, but parity was quickly restored, as Beth Hull slotted past Sophia Moule on the stroke of half time to make it 1-1.
Melanie Espinosa gave her side the lead on the hour-mark when she pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area – the Bromley number 11 guided the ball around Moule, before firing into an empty net for 2-1, and was enough to seal the South London side’s place in the Second Round, which will once again take place at The CopperJax Community Stadium.
The tie will take place on Sunday, 9th November (1pm KO), with the U’s looking to improve on last season’s run to the Third Round.
