The champions of last seasons’s National League North and South will meet on the opening day of the new National League season as Sutton begin their campaign on Saturday 6 August with a home game against Solihull Moors, one of six sides Sutton will play for the first time next season. Solihull finished nine points clear of runners-up North Ferriby United, who were also promoted and who will visit Sutton at the end of March, U’s having travelled to Humberside in November. Following the home game against Solihull U’s are away to Forest Green Rovers, last season’s beaten play-off finalists at Wembley, on Tuesday 9th, the longest of U’s four scheduled midweek trips which include Dover, Boreham Wood and Maidstone. U’s then travel to Lincoln City, where they were denied victory on their only previous visit in 1988 by a last minute equaliser before entertaining Torquay and then Macclesfield before finishing August with a trip to Chester and a home Bank Holiday game against relegated Dagenham & Redbridge. Sutton will play Bromley over the Christmas period, visiting Hayes Lane on Boxing Day and then hosting the return fixture on New Year’s Day, while at Easter Gateshead visit Gander Green Lane on Good Friday before U’s visit Dagenham on Easter Monday. The season finishes on April 29 with a game at Macclesfield. The full fixture list is now available on the fixtures page.
