Before yesterday’s match against Leyton Orient we were pleased to present three cheques on the pitch to three local charities.  Our charity of the season is Sutton Night Watch, which was established to support and raise awareness for the homeless people in Sutton. They meet at the Secombe Centre there times per week to provide hot food, clothing and toiletries to local homeless people.

St Raphael’s Hospice is one of our previous charities and offers high quality specialist medical and nursing care for patients with cancer and other serious illnesses, caring for over  thousand people every year and is reliant on donations and legacies for over 75% of their running costs.

St Helier & Surrey Kidney Patient Association was founded in 1977 and is a patient and volunteer run charity supporting renal patients under the care of St Helier Hospital. The help around 4,000 patients through financial assistance and travel for dialysis.

Today’s cheques, which total £2,000, come courtesy of the proceeds of the FA Community Shield and we thank the FA for their continuing support of local charities.
