We are still in that quiet period where nothing much appears to be happening in the “outside world” that offers any certainty for us moving forward.

We have seen that there is still confusion for EFL clubs, with indications earlier this week that League 2 clubs voted to end their season, with no relegation, but then a decision from the EFL that the intention is to retain promotion and relegation for all three of their divisions, with the hope that they can still complete their seasons. We wait to see what the implications of this will be for clubs in the National League. There have also been various stories in the media about how football outside the Premier League might change post-COVID but all we can say about this is that we have not been approached or involved in any discussions.

Meanwhile the directors continue to explore every avenue we can to reduce our costs and develop additional sources of income, we’ve had some success but won’t be resting on our laurels. You will appreciate that this is no easy task at this point in time but we are hopeful that some more of the ideas we are following up will turn out positively.

We would again like to thank everyone who has purchased a 20/21 season ticket, we are now up to 240 sales.

Our end-of-season award winners have now all been determined and we are working with SUFCtv to put together a special awards night show (not so much the Oscars as the Brucies).

Finally, don’t forget that this Friday sees the new fish and chip service start in our car park, it will be open between 4pm and 9pm.

Stay Safe and please follow the Government’s rules and guidelines on social distancing and don’t forget to help others. Remember that the theme of Mental Health Awareness week is Kindness.
