As revealed by SUFCtv, Paul Doswell has been able to announce an early Christmas present for U’s fans with the signing striker Gime Toure, who began this season with AFC Fylde and was on target in the recent 2-2 draw between the clubs in Lancashire. He has previously played for Macclesfield as well as French club Viry Châtillon.

"I’ve been tracking Gime for some time, and of course he scored a good goal against us just a few weeks ago (watch here on SUFCtv) but it’s only the departure of Charlie Clough and the emergence of Bradley Pearce that has allowed me to complete the deal. And I’d like to thank club secretary Ray Ward for getting the paperwork completed at this busy time of year. Gime may be 6’3" tall but he’s good on the deck and will give us something different upfront, we now have  a lot of options going forward."

"Merry Christmas everyone."
