This new partnership will see the continuance of the excellent provision already in place. This will offer 16-18 year olds in year one of our academy a structured programme which combines an excellent football pathway via coaching and competitive matches with SGI’s superb track record in delivering top class education.
Harry Martin, who leads the programme, says: ”This new collaboration is game-changing for the programme, SGI are hugely respected and we are really excited about what we can now offer boys and potentially girls on this programme. The football coaching, strength and conditioning, nutrition and physiotherapy aspects will be delivered on site with the education all at the state of the art 3G facility at South Park Football Club. The programme is already known for its really good quality football pathway and this new dimension will really enhance what we already have. This will help young players develop their skill sets whilst delivering an education that will support them to find meaningful employment both within and outside the football and leisure sectors, and coaching badges so that they can earn as they learn and gain access to higher education if that is what they wish to do.”
