After a long overdue wait due to Covid-19, the 15th August 2020 was when Sutton United Disability Team finally had their ‘End of Season Award Party’, held at the club’s MBA Lounge.
Players and coaches from the U’s, Ganders and Jays, as well as other guests who have been supportive of this team, attended with joy and pride as they took part in a couple of fun, entertaining games with prizes (mostly random WW2 ships as part of the banter), followed most importantly by the awards.
"The evening is a great way to celebrate all what’s great about disability football," said Steve King. "It’s nice to celebrate with the winners of the awards. It’s been a difficult few months but seeing all the players back together smiling and enjoying themselves made it a special occasion to remember."
