Sutton’s squad for the coming season has been boosted with the news that midfielder Wayne Brown has signed a new contract. The 32-year-old, who was signed in the summer of 2018, recovered from a serious knee injury to return to the first team squad midway through last season, scoring in his comeback game against Horley Town in the Surrey Senior Cup (above). He made his league return as a substitute in the win at Bromley at the end of February, and will strengthen Matt Gray’s options in midfield for the season ahead.

Meanwhile one player who won’t be with the squad when training restarts is winger Kyel Reid, who has left the club. Kyel made 25 appearances for us after signing in September, and we thank him for his service and wish him every success in the future.
