Pre-Season: Salisbury Trip Replaced By Walton & Hersham Clash

Sutton’s pre-season friendly away at Salisbury (Tuesday, 21st July) has been cancelled.

The U’s were set to head to Wiltshire for their third warm-up clash ahead of the 2026/27 Enterprise National League campaign, with their first ever visit to the current iteration of the Whites.

This game has now been replaced with a home outing against newly promoted National League South side Walton & Hersham, who embark on their maiden campaign at Step Two after winning the Southern Premier Division last term.

Kevin James’ side are under new management following a record-breaking campaign which saw them rack up a whopping 92 points, 12 clear of second-placed Farnham Town, with James replacing Jakub Pietrzak, who parted ways with the Surrey-based outfit after a period of negotiations.

As such, Walton enter 2026/27 with their third manager since the start of last season, following on from Pietrzak and his predecessor, Billy Rowley, who joined Yeovil Town in November.

The U’s last faced the Swans in the Isuzu FA Trophy Third Round, with Pietrzaks’s side putting their National League counterparts to the sword with a 4-1 win at Elmbridge Sports Hub.

We are pleased to confirm ticketing information for the Walton & Hersham fixture, which will go on sale tomorrow at 12pm.

Tickets can be purchased on our ticketing website in advance, along with in-person from the ticket office, which is located at Gander Green Lane.

The season ticket holder discount period will run from 12pm on Saturday, 13th June until 3pm on Friday, 19th June. After this, tickets will go on general sale.
