Two exciting opportunities have become available within the media team at Sutton United Football Club.

Both roles are unpaid positions which are ideal for students who are currently doing a degree in the relevant field and are looking to expand your portfolio whilst gaining experience within the industry.

  • Role Title: Content Creator (Internship)
  • Club: Sutton United Football Club
  • Location: Gander Green Lane (Stadium), Gander Green Lane, Sutton, SM1 2EY // Imperial Fields, Bishopsford Road, Morden, SM4 6BF
  • Report To: Head of Media

We are seeking a Content Creator to help cover our men’s first team matchdays as part of an unpaid internship (volunteer) during the 2026/27 Enterprise National League campaign, joining an innovative team to play a vital role in developing the club’s brand and media output.

Interns will gain practical experience covering live matchdays, with a specific focus on short-form videography, creating content at both matchdays and training sessions when required throughout the season, as well as providing support on social media coverage.

You will also provide support for other areas of the club as and when required, including retail, commercial and the Sutton United Foundation.

The role will require the candidate to have filming and editing skills, and photography would be advantageous. However, mentorship, training and support will be offered across all areas, along with equipment.

Applicants should ideally live locally to Sutton or the surrounding areas, with a requirement to attend all first team fixtures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with creating and editing video content for our social media channels, with a specific focus on short-form content optimised for TikTok, Instagram / Facebook Reels/Stories, YouTube Shorts.
  • Pitchside filming using a Canon XA60/XA11/XA10 (all provided).
  • Capture and create content using a mobile phone; edit on the move to publish quickly.
  • Film and edit engaging mobile-shot video content with/of the playing squad at training sessions.
  • Provide support for our X, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube pages on a matchday.
  • Attend all Men’s First Team fixtures, both home and away.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Commitment to the role, and willingness to come along to every game.
  • Confidence with camera work and an understanding of visual storytelling.
  • Familiarity with National League football, and a general knowledge of Sutton United Football Club is advantageous.
  • A passion for football and digital media.
  • Basic knowledge of tools such as the Adobe Suite/Capcut/Canva.
  • An excellent grasp of social media platforms, digital trends, and maximising traffic.
  • A creative mindset.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays as required.

  • Report To: Media Manager

We are seeking a Commentator to cover our men’s first team home matchdays on a casual basis.

You will be responsible for delivering live match commentary, providing entertaining and informative coverage that enhances the supporter experience.

The role includes calling the action as it unfolds, offering tactical and match analysis, contributing pre- and post-match insight, and working alongside co-commentators or members of the media team where required.

This role is an excellent opportunity to be an integral part of the matchday experience – done on a rotational basis – with your voice being heard either on our own Mixlr service, or on the National League’s official coverage on DAZN.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Provide clear and engaging live commentary during home first team fixtures.
  • Ability to remain articulate and enthusiastic during live coverage.
  • A strong understanding and passion for football.
  • Familiarity with National League football, and a general knowledge of Sutton United Football Club is advantageous.
  • Collaborate effectively with co-commentators and club media staff.
  • Maintain a professional, energetic, and balanced commentary style.
