After a goalless first half, Hurst, one of three additions made by Will Letts to the squad this week, struck to put Sutton ahead and although the home side levelled, Chloe Francis scored her first league goal of the season to clinch victory as U’s bounced back from last week’s defeat to Ashford.

Next week we are away to Leatherhead in the Women’s FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round at Fetcham Grove, kick off 2pm. Leatherhead play in Division One North of the L&SER League, leading the table having today put nine without reply past second placed Beecholme Belles.

It was a good afternoon for Sutton’s teams, with the reserves beating Richmond Park Development 5-0 and the development side 2-0 winners at Reigate.
