A brilliant free kick from James Dobson, his first Sutton goal, was enough to give Sutton a battling win at Barnet, although the success was also built on a fine defensive performance as Barnet piled on the pressure late on. Roarie Deacon made his return to Sutton colours after just seventeen minutes when Kenny Davis suffered an early injury. Dobson’s free kick came eight minutes before half time, but late on it took two fine saves from Ross Worner and some crucial blocks to prevent the home side rescuing a point.
