The Supporters’ Club is running a coach to Saturday’s FA Trophy tie at Spennymoor, with the departure time brought forward to 6.45am. Cost will be dependant on numbers. Anyone wishing to travel should contact John Parsons on 07989 261929, email johnparsons092@gmail.com.

Supporters who choose to travel independently are advised that the East Coast Main Line is closed between Hitchin and Peterborough on Saturday, and as well as journey times being considerably extended, there are no direct trains between London and Durham, the closest station to Spennymoor. Trains from King’s Cross are hourly and require a change at York, while there is also an option to travel from St Pancras, changing at Sheffield or Chesterfield.

In addition there are reduced bus services in the Durham area due to strike action on Arriva services. There is now an hourly service on route 6, operated by Arriva, and a half hourly service on X21, operated by Go North East which is not affected. Travel time from Durham Bus Station to Spennymoor is around 20 minutes.

Full directions for anyone driving to the game will follow later in the week. The Brewery Field ground is in Wood Vue, post code DL16 6QH, and we are advised that parking at the ground is restricted to pass holders only and drivers should use town centre car parks.

Please note that despite what has appeared on several websites over the weekend, the game definitely goes ahead and those sites should now update following the passing of the deadline this afternoon for Bromley to appeal against the decision to expel them from the competition.
