All the goals came inside the first twenty minutes, with Olivia Watson putting Sutton in front after only four minutes, robbing a home defender before scoring, but Enfield levelled less than a minute later, and the winner came when a low half volley from the edge of the penalty area beat Zoe McNulty and found the bottom corner of the net.
Sutton toiled in search of an equaliser, with Watson hitting the side netting in the first half, and in the second period Jaz Backhurst seeing an inswinging corner come back off the woodwork. Right at the end Lily Dent was denied an equaliser by a narrow offside decision as Enfield moved to within three points of Sutton in the London & South East Premier Division table.
Sutton are in action at the VBS next Sunday, hosting third placed Millwall Lionesses, kick off 2pm with free admission.
The development side enjoyed a good 5-1 win at Cranleigh and next weekend they are away to Old Tiffinians.
There was no game for the reserves and they are also without a game next week.
