This appointment also enables Adrian Barry to formally step down from the position of club CEO with immediate effect and revert to his favoured role on the Board, focusing on key partner relations, development plans and first team liaison.
 
Adrian commented: “It has been an extraordinary last two years and more, which have simply flown by, during which time prodigious progress has been made both on and off the pitch at Sutton United. Our transition to becoming a full time professional club has had to be a very rapid one as we quickly played “catch up” off the pitch; now we need to concentrate on continuing to put all the essential building blocks and foundations in place, right across the club, to ensure we can continue to advance our exciting development plans. Having Rob on board, full time, to deliver on the increasing complexities and demands of the finance function in our ever growing business is a further vital ingredient in our recipe for growth.
