The campaign sells inclusive and representative children’s story books from top publishers that reflect the diversity of our population, selling them to families and schools, to help more children see themselves in the books they read and help all children understand the world and their place in it. The Oak Centre is one of the largest comprehensive children and young people’s cancer centres in Europe.
Enzio said afterwards: ”I met some amazing children, and they are an inspiration, every one of them.”
Head of Foundation Bobby Childs commented: ”The players and myself were so pleased to meet the children and were made to feel very welcome by their warmth and positivity. Not all were football fans but they certainly loved the books and appreciated our visit, and we look forward to taking the team back in the summer to play outside.”
