Two goals in the first five minutes of the second half from Eastleigh's Luke Coulson proved enough to beat Sutton at the Silverlake Stadium this afternoon but not before a fine Sutton fightback which would have earned reward but for a superb performance from goalkeeper Ryan Clarke, signed this week from AFC Wimbledon, whose saves included keeping out a Bedsente Gomis penalty with five minutes left, just after Ross Stearn's low 20-yard shot had reduced the arrears.
