The FA People's Cup Finalists Sutton United Hunters enjoyed another great weekend.Saturday saw the visit of our good friends from Chelsea and the game turned out to be a cracker, with plenty of goals at the Knights Community Stadium.  The friendly match ended up Sutton United Hunters 3 Chelsea 4, with plenty of goals and smiling faces; this really turned out to be a great advert for Disability Football.Meanwhile our Sutton United U's side were playing the Chelsea Premiership Disability Team  in a double-header that ended up in one win each.Sutton United U's 5 [Beadle 3 Edvin Wilson ] Chelsea 0Sutton United 1 [Edvin ] Chelsea 2Chelsea coach Georgie Dawes said "We had a top day out and on behalf of Chelsea I would like to say thank you for having us today; you always make us feel so welcome."On Sunday it was the Sutton United Hunters in league action in the AFC Wimbledon Pan Disability League and the Hunters were confirmed as Champions with 2 wins and 2 draws from their final 4 games.We offer enormous congratulations to coaches Steve Preedy and Paul Leconte and all of fthe players who have worked so hard in their first full season. The togetherness and team spirit is a joy to see.Thank you also, from the players, to all the Sutton United supporters who contributed to the Community Teams' bucket collection at the Hartlepool match. We managed to collect a massive £431 and with a kind donation from Gandermonium we have reached our target and the Sutton United Hunters team will be able to stay overnight in the Hilton St George's Park at the FA People's Cup Finals and be ready for the early 9:30am start.
