Christmas In The Community

20 December 2018

The Festive Season may be almost upon us but it is still a busy time for the United In The Community team.

Today several members of the first team squad, including Jonah Ayunga, Dean Beckwith, Aswad Thomas, Harry Beautyman and Brandon Thomas Asante, and led by skipper Jamie Collins, went to Queen Mary's Hospital for Children in Carshalton to distribute Christmas presents to the young patients, in association with the Met Police's Gift Aid Appeal. @metpoliceuk

Jamie said, "We were all delighted to help out and hand out the presents, it's always sad when children are in hospital but especially at this time of year."

On Wednesday the club hosted the regional round of the National League Trust Tournament, featuring 22 teams from primary schools in Sutton, for the right to represent Sutton United in the SE Regional Finals to be played at Wembley Stadium in 2019.  Many congratulations to the two successful teams, the boys from All Saints Carshalton School and the girls from Barrow Hedges School, who included Isla from our own under-9s team.  Good luck to both schools. Well done to everybody who took part and many thanks to @NLTrust for organising such a fantastic event.
