Amber 500 - starts Saturday

22 August 2019

You may have noticed U's players “counting down” on social media to the launch of the Amber 500 draw over the last week or more. Well; it's coming and will be with us this Saturday 24th. Here's more information about this important club initiative and how YOU can get involved.

Amber 500

What is it? It is a raffle. Each ticket costs £100 and can be bought individually or in syndicates. There are a maximum of 500 tickets available.

Why are we doing it? To enable the club to fund first team away travel this season in the National League. We all know how expensive it is to travel in this Division and we want to do it in such a way as gives our players the best chance to prepare properly and perform for Sutton United FC.

What could I win? The prize fund equates to 20% of the money raised from the raffle. If we sell all 500 tickets( as we hope to), that means we have £10,000 in the prize fund and there will be three cash prizes - £7,000 for the holder of the first ticket drawn out, £2,000 for second and £1,000 for third. There will also be three “money can't buy” non-cash prizes which will be announced after the launch.

When does it launch? It launches on Saturday 24th August at our home match v Dover

How can I buy a ticket ?- at every home match from our team of sellers (see below), from the club office during office opening hours and, of course, on line via the club website.

Our Amber 500 sellers (clockwise): Natalie; Mick; Phil; Ian D; Mark; Adrian; Caragh; Dean; Gareth; Ian B.

When is the draw?- it will be on 1st January 2020 at our home match against Woking.

Manager Matt Gray enthused about the scheme: “This is a really important fund raising initiative for the club which should also be a lot of fun and VERY lucrative for the lucky winners. Rest assured the Management team are all in and the players are too. I very much hope you will be too and that you will spread the word to everyone you know. Your club, our club. One team...”

Matt and Jason Goodliffe are so keen on the scheme that they were even discussing it after training this week.
