Disability Team at Chelsea

11 December 2019

Sutton United "U's" Disability team enjoyed another great experience when the team travelled to the Chelsea FC training ground in Cobham on Sunday.
It turned out to be a cracking game with our good friends the Chelsea Foundation.
The Disability Premiership game saw Chelsea starting strongly and the Blues took a 2-1 lead with it taking a while for the U's settle in the fantastic Cobham surroundings.
After Shaun Mills equalised for the U's we never looked back and with Joe Hales and Matt Ford adding more goals it turned out to be a 4-2 success for the U's.

Head of Disability Football Steve King said ‘ Firstly I would like to thank Chelsea Foundation for the invitation, it's always a great occasion playing Chelsea. This really was a great competitive game of disability football, Chelsea proved again what a good team they are at this level and I know the players from both teams enjoyed the occasion“
