Two goals down inside twenty minutes, Sutton's academy side battled back for an extra time victory against Gillingham in the FA Youth Cup.
Two headed goals in the space of three minutes from Joseph Gbode and George Hutcheon put the visitors in control early on but the game changed either side of half time and Euan Mutale pulled one back in first half stoppage time, might have scored another before the half time whistle, and then headed in a Casey Shann cross two minutes after the interval. There were no more goals in normal time, but three minutes in to extra time Kai Tanner collected a long clearance from goalkeeper Tobi Fisher and curled a fine shot in to the far corner for what proved to be the winner.
