Sutton's academy side have reached the third round of the FA Youth Cup for the second season in a row after goals from Kai Tanner and Josh Nunes gave U's a 2-0 win at Stevenage tonight, reversing the score of the EFL Youth Alliance game earlier in the season.
Tanner, whose extra time winner against Gillingham had set up tonight's tie, struck after eighteen minutes to give U's the lead, and Nunes scored with a header following a corner midway through the second half to confirm the victory which has earned a third round tie at home to Preston North End, which must be played by Saturday 11 December.
