The 24-year-old midfielder will officially join us on July 1st at the end of his contract with Ebbsfleet United, who he helped to the National League South title last season, earning inclusion in the National League South team of the season. Although a Londoner by birth Christian's career began in the north as a youth player with Blackpool, and after also being with Burnley, where he played in the Under 23 development squad and had a loan spell at Oldham Athletic, making seven Football League appearances, he moved to Ebbsfleet at the start of the 2021-22 season and has made over seventy appearances in his two seasons at the Kuflink Stadium.

 

Manager Matt Gray commented: ''Christian's a player we've had our eyes on for a while. He's done brilliantly with Ebbsfleet, helping them to the National League title, and has the potential to make a real impact in League Two.''

 

Matt will be doing an SUFCtv interview early next week to discuss the new signings and the other summer activity as the 2023-24 season comes closer, while we hope to confirm our final two pre-season friendlies on Monday before the EFL fixtures, Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy draws are released later in the week.
