Charlie Lakin doubled up at the Player of the Season awards for 2023-24, which were held after Saturday's game against Crawley, winning the Club Player of the Season (above, presented by Head Coach Steve Morison with some help from Tim Vine) and the Players' Player of the Season award (below, presented by Tim)
Steve's first signing after he took over in January, Charlie joined us on loan from Burton Albion and has scored seven goals in his twenty appearances during that time, playing a huge part in keeping our fight against relegation going to the final week of the season.
Sam Hart had earlier picked up the Supporters' Club Player of the Season award while Jack Taylor won the Ralph Carr Young Player of the Season award, although he was unable to receive it in person due to being involved with Hornchurch, where he is at present on loan, at Potters Bar, coming on as a second half substitute in Hornchurch's 1-0 win. Long-serving programme editor Lyall Reynolds won the Barry Aplin Clubperson of the Year award, and Nino Adom-Malaki's stunning volley against Accrington Stanley last month was voted the Goal of the Season.
