Steve Morison has made his first signing at Sutton United, securing the services of Burton Albion midfielder Charlie Lakin on loan until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old joined Birmingham City at the age of nine and was with them for thirteen years, making ten appearances in the Championship. He had loan spells with Stevenage and Ross County, making nineteen Scottish Premiership appearances, and then joined Burton in August 2021. Last season he was on loan at Doncaster for the second half of the season and this season he has been at Wimbledon, again on loan.
We welcome Charlie to Sutton United - he will have the squad number 31.
Meanwhile we have said farewell to Dominic Gape, whose short term contract has expired and is not being extended. He made seven appearances since joining us in October, and leaves with our good wishes for the future.
