Welcome Stephen Duke-McKenna

25 January 2024

Stephen Duke-McKenna is the latest addition to Steve Morison's squad as he joins on loan from Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old midfielder was born in Liverpool and spent his early football career with Everton, being named once in a Europa League squad in 2017. He had a year with Bolton Wanderers before moving south to join QPR, where he has been a regular member of the Development Squad and this season has made half a dozen senior appearances. He has had loan spells at Hemel Hempstead, Torquay United and Leyton Orient, who he helped to the League Two championship last season, making thirteen appearances in all competitions including playing for them in our EFL Trophy game at Brisbane Road.

He is the second player to sign within the space of a week who has played internationally for Guyana, having first been named in their squad in 2018 and having eighteen appearances, and one goal, to his credit, playing for them alongside Deon Moore earlier this season.

We welcome Stephen to the club - he will have squad number 50.
