At home in midfield or at left back, he began his career with Fulham and, after loan spells with Brentford, Southend and Finnish club TPS, he moved to Aberdeen where he made over 50 appearances in the Scottish Premier League. He has subsequently played for Rotherham, Crawley and Notts County, where he made nearly 100 appearances in two spells before being released and joining Sutton at the start of the 2019-20 season. He has now made nearly 150 appearances for the club.
