Moved to Sutton with Steve Morison having been assistant head coach at Hornchurch, his first job in senior football management. As a player he was with Manchester City and Portsmouth as a youngster, representing England at under 16 and under 17 level, before playing for a number of non league teams including Bishop's Stortford and Boreham Wood.
