At the start of the season we made a decision that, unlike a number of other clubs at our level, we would continue with a printed matchday programme as there was felt still to be an appetite for one among supporters. We also decided that we would increase the content to give supporters more to read and hopefully encourage a greater number of purchases.
While we are happy that due to the hard work of Lyall Reynolds and the programme team the aim of a higher standard programme was comfortably met, unfortunately sales figures have not responded as we would have hoped and to continue with the programme in its current printed format is not realistic from a financial point of view. Therefore while we consider our options, the programme for this Saturday's game against Morecambe is to be available on line, free of charge as a PDF and you can download your copy here. For the best results we recommend choosing two page view and showing the cover separately.
We understand that there will be a number of supporters disappointed with this decision, and we are disappointed that it has had to be taken, but we hope they will understand the reasons behind it. We will explore our options in the hope of finding a printed solution for the future which is financially viable.
