Sutton v Farnham preview and live stream

18 April 2024

It's the semi final of the Surrey Senior Cup tonight at the VBS Community Stadium, with Sutton hosting Farnham Town for the right to play Metropolitan Police or South Park in the final, South Park having been reinstated despite losing 3-2 at Chertsey in the previous round.

We have given Farnham permission to live stream this evening's game and you can watch free of charge here.

With a crucial League Two game against Crawley just two days away, Sutton will be relying on the academy players who have served U's so well in the competition in earlier rounds for tonight's game against a Farnham side who have swept all before them in the Combined Counties League Premier Division South this season, winning their first 25 league games and still unbeaten with 96 points out of a possible 102, and 117 goals scored. They lost their 100% home league record on Tuesday against Cobham, and the only other teams to have taken a point against them this season are Jersey Bulls and Knaphill, the sides currently in second and third in the table.

Having had a bye in each of the first two rounds of the Surrey Senior Cup they have reached the semi final with home wins against Kingstonian (3-1) and AFC Croydon Athletic (3-0), while Sutton's route to the last four has been via away wins at Epsom & Ewell (2-1) and Horley Town (3-1) before a home 3-2 win against Corinthian Casuals thanks to a Deon Moore hat trick last Tuesday.

Should the scores be level after 90 minutes this evening then the game will be decided on penalties.

Admission this evening is just £5 for adults and £2 for concessions, all pay on the night. Under 12s are admitted free if accompanied by a paying adult or concession. Season tickets are not valid, and admission will be via turnstiles 1 and 2 at the Gander Green Lane end of the ground, card and cash payment accepted.

Due to previously booked functions the only bar open tonight will be Ambers' Bar, and car parking is expected to be very restricted.
