Disability U's maintain 100% record

18 March 2024

Sutton United Foundation disability team U's had a tough looking away day to AFC Bournemouth at the weekend, defending their 100% record in the South Eastern Pan Disability League.

The game had a very lively start,  and AFC Bournemouth took the lead inside the first minute, but the U's recovered their composure after that early shock and Adam Preedy eased the nerves with a quick reply. U's then took control of the game, and Jack Brooker struck a first half hat trick, scoring his third just as the half time whistle approached to give U's a 4-2 half time lead.

A second half goal from Tomasz Kowlaski extended the lead as Sutton maintained an unblemished record in the competition this season.

The Foundation's Pan-Disability project was recently voted Community Project of the Year at the recent London Football Awards and we hope to celebrate that achievement at the home game against Stockport County next month.
