The Sutton United Foundation was among the winners on Thursday night at the 2024 London Football Awards when our Pan-Disability Football project won the Community Project of the Year award.
The project was described as a 'truly inspiring cause all about providing a safe environment for young people to have fun, make friends and enjoy football.'
Head of the Foundation Bobby Childs and Head of Disability Football Steve King are shown above with the award, while Steve also took the chance to be snapped with this year's Premier League Player of the Year Declan Rice (below).
Bobby said: ''I'm delighted for Steve and his team that they have received this award, and would also like to pay tribute to all the players in the disability squads for their commitment and dedication.''

The London Football Awards are run in conjunction with the Willow charity, which was set up by former Arsenal goalkeeper and TV presenter Bob Wilson OBE and his wife Megs as a memorial to their daughter Anna, who died of cancer aged 31, setting up Special Days enabling seriously ill young adults and their families to reconnect and refocus on each other while enjoying an activity of their choice. Since 1999 the charity has fulfilled more than 17,000 Special Days for young adults living with life-threatening conditions.
